CUSTOM LACQUER FINISHES

– We finish our Jess Crate furniture with water-based lacquers rather than oil-based lacquers. While both varieties are applied in the same manner, oil-based resins and lacquers are composed of many groundwater pollutants and contain six times as many Volatile Organic Chemicals (VOCs) as water-based lacquers. VOCs are common in household products but are known to have harmful short– and long-term health effects. Water-based lacquers are not only the safest option but also the most environmentally friendly. They also dry three times faster and are more UV resistant and durable than oil-based options today.

All Jess Crate products are guaranteed against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of delivery when manufacturers’ recommendations for use and care are followed. When making a claim under our product guarantees, the original purchaser must provide a copy of the original packing slip or other proof of purchase. Any fault warrantied item, if returned freight prepaid to Jess Crate, will be repaired or replaced, at our discretion, free of charge.
